Is it possible it's an error on Verizon's end with my account? I'm thinking of trying to call them in the morning and seeing if I can get it set.

UPDATE!!! I found out the issue. Apparrently, a small amount of phones that were shipped out use a firmware that is incompatible/bugged for data calls from any device. The version of the firmware that is like this is 8700_2.03.00R. I am going to go down to a Verizon store soon and have it swapped for one without the defective firmware. After calling Verizon and having the tech unofficially hint at this, I found a thread at HowardForums (http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...hreadid=465822) about my exact issue several were experiencing awhile back. The only fix was to swap the phone.

This is being posted for posterity's sake, as well ;) :).

But now ActiveSync shows up as a Local Service. Maybe. I made sure it was assigned to COM7. My Axim is discoverable and already paired with the computer. On the Axim bluetooth device tab, I see my computer. I edit the Partnership settings. ActiveSync is not shown. I refresh. Still no ActiveSync. ActiveSync->Menu->Connect via Bluetooth results in "Cannot find an existing Bluetooth partnership with a PC that supports ActiveSync. Repeated trying produces the same frustration.

I'm envious of those who have their Bluetooth up and running. Anyone have any suggestions?
I can't get mine going either now :(.

My Axim syncs only once too when using bluetooth. Then no matter what I do I cannot initiate another sync until I unpair the devices and reconfigure the connection. I read somewhere that once the sync has been established I should use a bluetooth activesync shortcut to sync and not the activesync menu? How do I create a bluetooth shortcut if this is the answer, the article looked like it was referencing a much older version of PDA OS. Has anyone else had a similar issue that they've managed to rectify? Any help appreciated.

Cheers,
John.
