Sync to PC via wifi-not supported in AS41?

My previous PDA worked with ActiveSync 3.8, and I had it setup so I could sync with my PC using wifi instead of the cradle. Is this no longer possible with AS 4.1?

no... microsoft removed it for 'security reasons'

(and a wm5 device requires as4.x )

Does activestink 3.8 use a network connection between the axim and the desktop PC? Since I have an X51v I never used 3.8. Just wondering.
