What in the? Registry files will no longer import?

I tried converting from Hive to File with Tweaks2k2, then restored a backup made with SPBackup once I noticed I couldn't import registry files anymore. So, that didn't work, I hard-resetted and restored the backup, but it still doesn't work. I want to re-import the V710 bluetooth fix file, but when I do it, the additions it's supposed to make aren't added, even though I get a success message. How can I fix this!? I'm at a loss ! Also, if I try to manually edit/rename/add a key, I get a Fatal Error Operation Cannot Complete dialog.

If I do a hard reset and reload my software, will that fix it? I think my backup may have been made at a time it was corrupted already :(. If not, how can I fix this!?

I really don't know, but it can't be good.

Hard Reset one more time, but when you sync it, don't set up a partnership, just be a "guest", and then install PHM reigstry, try agian.

Installed JUST TRE and it still does it!!!!!! I don't know how this could have happened :(! PHM won't install, it brings up the list asking to remove/install, then if I hit OK nothing happens on the PPC :(.

Yes, hold power button, press reset with stylus tip on back of unit, wait a couple seconds, release power. I'm really worried :(.

Yeah... then I press it, it resets for a minute and brings up the prompts like it did the first time I booted it.

I got PHM in by copying the CAB to the Axim directly, but the Import option is greyed out, so I can't test if it actually works. I am very worried still though, as I can't seem to get ActiveSync to recognize the PPC at all, just says it can't sync.

EDIT: It seems almost like the registry is READ-ONLY, I can't edit any existing values/keys with TRE. I wonder why...

Maybe if I remove the battery for 10 minutes or so, that would get rid of any lingering things? Is it possible some sort of malware could have altered the ROM or something?

Just removed it for 15 minutes, and it still was fine settings-wise :(... no reset. I still have the issue!

I know that this is a longshot, but does anyone happen to have a clean hard-reset backed-up registry from an A06 Axim X51v? I'm going to have to RMA this for a new one if I can't fix this, and I'm worried it will happen again if I do. I just want to try and figure out what's happening :(.
