I used to have a X50v, now I have a X51v, and to be honest, I can't tell much of a difference in speed. my x50v lagged on occasion, and my x51v lags as well on occasion. most of the time it flies (everyelse was saying it, so I'm following the crowd :p).

Oldering being Inferior.

I did not mean to say that there was anything wrong with the X50V. I was simply stating, that I paid more than I could have if I had bought a X50V (from ebay for example) and got bent.

Regardless of your personal feelings about the X50V, the X51V should blow it away, but its not even close. When any company releases a new model of an item, its purpose to to IMPROVE upon the previous, whether it is some type of technology, rom vs ram for example, or the size of memory in the pda, which is the case, the end result should be better product, speedwise and cost wise, this is cleearly not the case here.

Dell dropped the ball.

Well, Dell may have dropped the ball when there was only A01, but they have since updated the ROM image. Besides, that's where the users come in! This community has solved many issues on their own, and it's truly all terrific.

I used an x30 high before getting my x51v, and I must say that the x51v is much faster than the x30, especially when it comes to storing things in ROM. That would drag the x30 to a crawl. I'm overly impressed with my 5-month old PDA. :D
