Docking Station...?

Is there a docking station availible that will allow me to run a larger screen on an Axim? This would specifically be used in my car.

Welcome unibrowski. I set up a 3 panel 15" LCD display in my car that runs off the Axim. Just kidding! What are you trying to do?

I am going to build up an in car computer and got thinking that if the axim had a video output option I could just get a display and have the option of removing it from the car as well. But going this route I also loose some versatility such as voice recognition, using it to run my stereo, fax, and everything else you can do with a PC.

I don't need info on an in car computer, I have made a bunch of those.

I need to know if there is a video output option on for the Axim.

Dell makes a Presentation bundle for the X51v that includes a VGA out cable:

They also list a bundle for the X50v, but the link doesn't currently work.

The reference to the "carputer" was using the axim as the "computer" portion.

Seems like you should be able to use any display that has a VGA input, since the X50/51v has VGA output capability. No docking station necessary, just the VGA output cable for the Axim.

But, if you need a bigger screen in your car, why not just use a laptop?
