Aximsitex5icon Newbe needs help

Hi everyone,

This site and its "sticky's" have been very helpful in getting me through my first couple of weeks of ppc ownership:approve: . I recently sold my Treo650 and bought a x51v. Basically, lack of wifi on the treo and hoping to be able to do more tasks got me to this decision.

My problem (besides hating WM5 and its instability :realmad: ) is not being able to shot off the program window once activated (e.g. to get back to the start window)

I have installed the following programs on my PPC:
Adobe
wififofum
Dell diagnostics
toygolf
vitural earth mobile
.net 2.0
battery pack late (deleted this once to see if it is the source of the problem)
opera
Resco picture viewer
Resco viewer sync mode
TCPMP player
TranCreative Magic Button
Your help is greatly appriciated .

If you mean you just want to get back to the Today page while keeping a program running, the corner "X" will do this by default or you can tap the Start (upper left corner) and select Today from the list.

If you mean you want to actually close down programs, the switcher bar utility included with the X51v will do this but you'll be better off with additional software. I use vBar (freeware) on my X51v but there are other programs that will do it, too.

It is hard to describe the problem. The program window becomes the defacto start page without the x botton (actually the x botton appears and disappers without closing/minimizing the program window).

Thanks for the tip. I will try vbar and see if it fixes the problem.

This is a problem caused by Magic Button. Uninstall it and try vBar or Inclose Mobile instead. If you're willing to pay a bit, Dinarsoft's HandySwitcher is a great program. I am using it and love it.

Oh, and a word of advice when using Magic Button or vBar. Don't go to your wireless settings menu when you have Magic Button or vBar on as it causes your Ax to freeze.
