Twas Outlook. If you are like me, you have an email account set to check your email automatically every x minutes. If you turn your device off with wireless enabled, outlook will eventually try to check your email- and this is what causes it to freeze.

To solve the problem, turn off the setting to automatically check email - you will have to check it manually. Since doing this I have had no problem with wireless+standby.

I had this problem a little while ago as well. IT IS SO frustrating. Called up and the guy led me through a hard reset. It seemed to solve that specific problem, and for a week or so, my axim was working better than it ever had. Now, for the past 2 weeks I haven't had the odyssey error message, but it is freezing up for ~30 sec EVERY TIME I TURN IT ON(not the 2 minutes when you get the odyssey message). It says new sd card inserted an awful lot as well, and I don't take the sd card in and out. Very frustrating! Don't know what to do anymore?!?! I need odyssey at school (network), and I'm not even sure that odyssey is causing it this time.

Hi!

I had the same problem but I never used Pocket Outlook or something like that. I noticed a major slowdown when I switch my PDA on (from standby - not from full power off). Up to 2 minutes waiting until it became responsive.
The ONLY solution I found so far is:

hard-reset the device
NEVER EVER touch the Odysee Client (not even come near the icon ;-)) )

So far: It works great! I wonder why Dell ships such a shitty software...

In fact this program allows your PDA to get connected to WIFI networks with higher security level than the regular Dell Client can have access to (128bit Wep, for instance). It could be interesting, though, but not for this sort of cost

I have the same troubles you have, and I'm trying something (to eliminate it from my startup) as mentioned by Menneisyys. I'll let you know. I tried ot install a later version from the odyssey client but it was charged so I preferred not to do it.

I'm very sorry because I know it should be the typical small, stupid sort of thing that makes you feel bad.

I hope we can find a solution.
