A08 - Downloadable or just a temporary rollout?

So a few weeks have passed since the vanguard few have received their new x51v's with A08 installed. Additionally, those users have not found any major fixes to the crippled MS Bluetooth Stack in that ROM release. Is it possible that A08 is just a stop-gap release which was only supposed to fix some of the ActiveSync issues, but not the Bluetooth ones?

I am not familiar with the release history of ROMS, but if someone could determine how these releases were handled in the past, that might give us some insight. Here's what we should need:

To my knowledge A01, A03, A05, and potentially A07 are ROM updates for the x51 QVGA, not the x51v. Since we haven't heard any word about folks receiveing x51 QVGA units with a new ROM on them, I figured I'd concentrate on the x51v updates.

x51 get the odd numbers. x51v get the even numbers.

I think we'll see an update soon enough. A08 could be it, but the people saying their Axim's are coming preloaded with it could just be some internal release and the A08 that will be available for download will have more changes to it.

It's looking more and more that A08 was just an internal release similar to A02/A03. If we do get a new ROM image available for download, I hope it includes AKU2.0. Sounds like A08 does nothing more than A06 already does.

Does anyone out there have any info on A02? I can't get the search function to work w/in AximSite and cannot find any indication that it was downloadable by running Google searches. If it turns out that A00 and A02 were both preload only, that would indicate that Dell has, in the past, offered preload only ROMS. Such an indication would be a good thing. It would mean that we may have to wait even longer for A08, but would increase the possiblity that it will contain both ActiveSync fixes and AKU 2.2 support.

I'm still not sure that there is an A08 ROM out.... (like, I've heard of a handful of people saying they have it).

Those handfuls with A08 were business users. Several people here including a friend of mine that have received the x51v in the past week reported having ROM A06 installed.

I'm recieving my X51v on monday it seems. I'll be sure to post what ROM it is.
I ordered through the EPP program.

I just got my AX last Fri. it has A06.

UM, I can't remember exactly but I think my Ax came with A05 and its a x51v. I upgraded immediately to a06 so it's hard to remember. I got it back in January.
