Here's the store:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820211029
You're in luck, it'll only cost you $40.

Is the write speed on this card good enough for programs to run off the card?
I mean, is this card recommended for installig programs on it too, not just movies and music?
Thanks

fastest sd card
After many days of research....
The SD card with the fastest write speed is Kingston Ultimate 1GB 133x. (20MB/sec).
Even their 120x 1GB and 2GB still have extremely fast write speeds of 18MB/sec.
All other SD cards - even 150x rated cards - only have write speeds of 15MB/sec which is 100x, and some even less than that.
Most companies x ratings refer to read or a combined transfer speed, whereas Kingston x rating refers soley to write speed.
Kingston Ultimate cards are not cheap either, so if you use it mostly for read such as GPS and MP3, the write speed won't really matter much.

There is a significant difference between the rated MB/sec of the card and the actual performance that will be achieved when in the I/O slot of an Axim. You have to benchmark in the device, not use the maximum capable number published by the company.

Precisely, most speeds published are read speeds, and the maximum at that. Kingston's x-speed however, is a sustained minimum write speed. It is also possible that the i/o speed of the Axim is far below x-speed of the card. But again, as far as SD cards are concerned, Kingston is top!

If you look at benchmark data, you will find that there is no relationship between maximum capability of the card and the I/O performance in the Axim. It's almost random. So you can't even extrapolate a result. I understood the question to be which card works best when used in the Axim.

There is a difference in how the read/write speed is rated for SD and CF cards, similar to how there is a difference in the read/write speed for CDs and DVDs. I'm not sure exactly how it is, but I think an 80x CF card is roughly equivalent to a 40x SD card (For CDs and DVDs it's 3 times - 24x = 8x).. Also, SD cards are just faster, even at the same equivalent rated speeds. But their readily-available maximum capacity is still half that of CF, so I have both. Wow, posting all this all the time makes me seriously consider writing a MyPDA...
