Has anybody tried if ActiveSync over BT works after applying this?

Since I am at work and I have limited access to the net with my PDA, can someone email the cab files to my email? The address is: blastattak@hotmail.com
I know that there is the zip file, but I can't open that on my PDA right now. I know you can, but I don't have a ZIP program installed. I will be checking my email using my phone and PDA, so this is going to cost me a data. This leaves the idea of finding and installing a ZIP client.
Basically I am hoping that someone can help me out so I don't call in sick today :)
Also if possible, please post saying that you have done so, just to be sure not too many people email.
Thanks a bunch.
Totally looking forward to hearing my headphones with no wires. So Stoked!!!!
total commander can unzip for you
I think most of MSI-based clients should work (if your client has blueplayer software included, you should be fine)
I can get up to 7 hours audio play with bt a2dp (using GSPlayer, CPU is 208, battery 100%-5%)
I almost have no skipping with a2dp, and even don't notice any background noise with WMP and GSPlayer
conclusion: I see a lot of replies and reading in just 24 hours, Dell should learn that-this is the key how to make Axim a huge seller and make money (do some market research, listen to what customer need)
hey dude, I am assuming you tried reset-reinstall-reset ? If the effect is still on - that means either:
1) Your headset is not supported; has connectivity issues
2) Your Axim x50 is unable to use the new cabs in a full potentials.
Two solutions:
1) Hard reset, add the cabs and try to play the music. If you still hear it - simply this issue won't be fix for you until an update.
2) Buy x51v and compatible headphones mentioned in previous posts.
I know.. not too much help, but you can give a try.
Thats all time I can spend on this post. :)
Thanks a bunch mingkee. I had forgotten about Total Commander.
I have the headphones working fine. I'm using the HT 820 headphones and they sound great. I hear some skipping but that is fine with me. The volume is pretty good too. I am at work so I can only use them so much on my breaks.
Hope the rest of you find it working great.

Anyone know if the device this installation was original intended for is getting any of this slight high pitched tone I'm getting?
Are there any headsets that work with this release and don't have the tone ?
ALSO,
anyone who is wondering about ActiveSync and WM5. Activesync works with WM5, no need for any patch whatsoever. If you are having problems it's most likely the software on your computer's end! I couldn't get my USB dongle to work with the Windows XP software, but when I installed the WIDCOMM software that came with the dongle, it was working in minutes. If you're having problems with that msg me.
What steps did you use to discover the logitec headset. I can not see it at all

However, It seems no A2DP solution is perfect. With widcomm, I get compression artifacts, the odd skipping, occasional disconnect, and some cracking, with this, I get perfect quality audio with the exception of a constant high pitched tone in the audio, luckily the tone is not very loud, but it is clearly audible and quite annoying. Also, this solution has a big advantage over widcomm, the audio link can be established by pressing the button on the headphone, with widcomm, it has to be manually connected in the control panel. Btw I am using the logitech bluetooth stereo headphones.
Overall, I'm not sure which one I'll keep using. Maybe there is a way to fix this?
You have to put the logitech headphones in discovery mode. You do this by holding the button for around 15-20 seconds until the light flashes in an alternating red/blue pattern and then release the button. Then, you can begin searching for devices on the axim. Make sure the headphones are in discovery mode before searching for devices. When they show up in the devices list and you pick them, you have to enter the passcode 0000. Once that is done and the pairing is complete, the headphones will likely take themselves out of discovery mode and your link will be active. If they stay in discovery mode, hold the button for a few seconds, and then press it again once. This should initiate the link. One VERY important thing with these headphones is you have to turn them off before turning bluetooth off, or else they behave erratically and in some cases wont be able to be turned off for about 3-4 minutes.
After you have successfully got the headphones paired once, next time you want to use them, all you need to do is turn bluetooth on on your PDA, and then turn the headphones on and tap the button once. This is ONLY with the Microsoft A2DP driver, with the widcomm driver, you have to manually connect the headphones in teh device manager.
Here is my understanding of the color codes that the light gives on the logitech headphones:
Flashing red: turning off
Flashing blue: turning on/waiting for audio link
Flashing red/blue in an alternating pattern: Discovery mode
One blue flash every few seconds: paired with a device, audio link active
Two red flashs accompanied by a beep every few seconds: battery low
Also, when an audio link/pair is made, the headphones will beep one tone for a second, the turning off noise is a high tone for half a second and a low tone for half a second, and the turning on noise is a low tone for half a second, and a high tone for half a second.
