reliable alarms

Is there any trick to make alarms sound reliably in the datebook?
I am leaving the device (x51v) suspended overnight, and the first
alarm usually doesn't sound (sometimes it does). All other alarms
during the day sound ok.
I have applied the fake server trick.

Thanks,
Brain.

adding to the thread -- the pocketPC has nothing installed on it except
the usual phonebook and appointment stuff.

The problem for me is if I snooze an alarm, it never re-sounds after the snooze interval.

It would be nice to use the stock software that came with the pc,
instead of using a third-party application.
I woke up to day to the alarm sound of my old handspring visor.
This thing never failed to sound during the last 6 years I had it :-)
But it's soooooo old.
