x51v Installtion Strategy

New x51v. Currently using x5 via ActiveSync 3.8.

1. Can these coexist or do I kill the X5?

2. On the X5 the majority of programs were loaded onto the SD. On the x51v what installation strategy works best?

Well, since the x51v runs WM5 you'll need to upgrade to ActiveSync 4.x. WM5 requires AS5 per M$. :( Your x5 should still work with AS4.x, though. As for installation strategy I would go the same route. Install most of your programs to SD, this will keep your x51v nice and speedy. Congrats on the x51v BTW. :approve:

First things first. Are you on the latest ROM version. A06 is the latest on the Dell website. Sys Info gives ROM version.

If on A06 then programmes on either SD card, Device or CF card work. The CF card still disappears now and then.

Most probably it's on A06 but there's no harm in checking.

You can install as how you installed on your X5 but perhaps you can install more porgrams on the main memory this time since you do have 196Mb to play around with.
