Need help with A2DP on X51v: Microsoft stack

I've installed the A2DP hack for the Microsoft Bluetooth stack, and paired my Axim with the iTech BT earbuds I'm trying to use. The Axim sees them as providing the Wireless Stereo profile, but when I select them in the device list, the Set as Wireless Stereo option isn't present. The same headphones work great with my X50v on 2003SE. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

I've never bothered with upgrading my Axim from A01 to A06--has anyone gotten this working with A01, or do I need to do a ROM update?

what "hack" are you referring to? Are you talking about the tornado A2DP from this thread? http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...highlight=a2dp

Yes, I've run both CABs. I've checked that the registry entries are all there. And I've tried installing the Cert CAB again, but it still behaves the same.

Icon14 Fixes

I just received my Dell 51v after ordering on April 4th. Its refurbished.
1. ROM version is A06
2. Tried Tornado hack, useless.
3. Removed Microsoft bluetooth and did the Widcomm 0.38 bluetooth stack replacement.
WORKS LIKE A CHARM!!!
4. TomTom Navigator 5.21 works (only), with associated maps.
5. Loaded other miscellaneous software.
6. The entire process took 3 hrs, including time to download necessary software
7. http://btfix.thcgirls.com/BroadcomX51V0.38.zip
8. The entire time I was typing this, I have been listening to my mp3s from my 51v on a Motorola H500.

Cheers.

Aximsitebluetoothicon Thanks wil try BT Hacks and see which works

Was on Dell support chat for nearly 2 hours, eventually that retracted all statements about BT audio support and REFUSED to issue me an A08 update that MAY have resolved BT stereo issues so will try the hacks and see if they work.
Funny thing was that the Dell support Push this Aximsite forum for information and the guy was stunned when I Pushed the BT Axim51V pages from this forum back at him.
