Agile Messenger - how is it with WM5
I want to install the latest version, however, I haven't heard too much feedback so far. How is it with WM5? Is it compatiable? Are there any issues, such as lockup and stuff?

It functions fine, except it looks like crap on a VGA screen (rather than using text, it uses graphics to render everything). Pocket MSN Messenger is about 100 times better, but if you want to use other IM services, then ya, I guess you have to settle for this.

does it look as bad as IMOV? I used IMOV for a little bit and it looked really bad.

If you use aim or some of the other im services, it's the best one I've found.

Same - I'm happy with Agile, but the comment about it rendering everything with graphics instead of text or something more dynamic is true. I wish there was a genuine VGA version out there, but its definetly usable at this point.

you can always use the mui file to create vga..
(copy http://imageserver.qik.nl/dukebox/rename.exe.0409.mui into the dir where the executable resides and rename to the programfile.exe i.e. AgileMessenger.exe.0409.mui )

Using Tweaks2K2, I forced AgileMessenger to true VGA. Course, now everything is 1/4 of the size (too small to use). Same problem with Minimo. Does the MUI approach things differently?

I like it. It could be prettier, but I can use my 3 different IM's with little difficulity. Some functions don't work as if on my desktop, but it IS free and on my Axim.

For now, Agile is "the bomb" of freeware IM.
:) I campaign for Agile because it is free, safe for WM03-5, and chats me up with gmail, aim, yahoo, and hotmail. It gets the job done!
Yes, I have the trial of the MSN IM, have yet to use it though. With the ton of software I have had to buy already for the PPC I really enjoy seeing freeware once in a while.
I have the same small screen issue with Minimo too. Annoying.
Have fun!
