Stop Sync'ing Proxy Settings

Is there any way to keep my X51v from picking up the proxy settings off my work desktop? I never use the Axim to access the internet at work, but every time I turn on the wifi, it's looking for the proxy server again. I can go into "Connections" and untick the proxy server box, but it always comes back...

turn off DHCP and manually set the IP . It will be getting the proxy settings when it gets assigned an IP addy.
