Well, the good news is, javascript works in PIE on WM5 devices (at least it works on mine and I'm pretty sure I have not installed anything extra for it to work).
But, if I'm right about WM5, I'm assuming you don't have a WM5 device so I think you'll need to install an alternate browser. Netfront has supported javascript for a long time and I believe Opera has that capability, too.

I have Opera and PIE on WM5, but I am not able to view some info based on java (Java applets). For example I am not able to vew a portfolio tracker at the www.nasdaq.com. It is also not possible to view some webcams based on java.
Do you know if it is possible to start java applets with Netfront? I installed the new version today (for WM 5), but the demo doesn't have java component.
Some tip will be appreciated.
Regards,
/Mauro
The OP was asking about Javascript. Javascript is different from Java.

I can't get to one site I would like to with my 51v using PIE. It gives me a JavaScript Check "Our Internet Access Services requires you to have JavaScript enabled on your browser. Please enagle JavaScript in your browser's opotions, then retry" message. Are you sure you didn't do anything special to make javascript work?
As I said in my first post, I don't remember doing anything to enable it but that doesn't mean I didn't. Can anyone else help with this?

Try minimo, it has great support for a lot of stuff, but I'm not sure about javascript. Due to miniscule buttons on my X51v I've never really used it much. Oh, and it's free.

One of my favorite sites is www.npr.org and the audio links are launched with Java Script. Opera Beta I launched the audio just fine. The final version of Opera does not. The audio will hang like it does in PIE. I would love to listen to the program stream on my handheld but it will not happen with anything that is out there, not with NetFront 3.3, PIEPlus, Opera and so on. I like Opera the best but since it will not launch NPR I am not buying and I am sticking with Webby for now. There are some Java plug in moduals that I have not tried yet. I have heard that CrEme works good but they do not sell to individuals. JV-Lite2 is supposed to work but it is like $40 to purchase. I have also heard good things about IBM J9 WebSphere but it does not have a plugin for PIE yet. Frustrating. I want my NPR.
npr.org seems to work fine for me with Netfront & Pocket WMP.
You need to add the .WMX extension into the Helper External Apps menu and then Netfront will automatically download the .wax file, open Pocket WM player and play the file.
