How can I add more icons near the wifi and Bluetooth ones?

I'd like to add icons in the bottom bar, near the wi-fi icon and the bluetooth icon.
I've seen screenshots posted by other forum members who managed to accomplish that, but I couldn't figure out how.
can it be done without a dedicated software?

thanks,
so it can't be done without an external software.
can you recommend other software that will do the job? I already have SPB pocket plus installed, so I don't want to have to install iLauncher as well.

It can be done with PHM PowerToys (freeware) Traylaunch. Not sure if it WM5 compatible though.

It seems like it isn't compatible with WM5 :(
This is what is says on the site:

Device requirements

* Microsoft Windows Mobile Pocket PC 2000, 2002 or 2003
(note that not all utilities and features are available on all devices)

but thanks :)
If you can think of another software that would be able to accomplish this, please let me know.

No, PHM TrayLaunch works fine on WM5. At least, it worked fine on my x51v w/ WM5.0.

I eventually decided to go for iLauncher anyway because I liked the additional features. But, if you are just looking to put icons in your tray, then TrayLaunch is a working (and free!) solution.

I've been trying to use PHM TrayLaunch but I can't figure out how to add items to the tray.
PHM TrayLaunch demands the full path, but it won't let me browse for the file I want.
is there a way to copy the complete path of a file from within the file explorer or from within resco explorer?

All I can add is that iLauncher is really worth it. I, too, own P+, but around Christmas time I moved to just iLauncher only. The program had a much smaller memory footprint and is more customizable (like icons on the bottom bar). Customization is important to me because I own all of Juni's themes. By the way. there is a discount for us aximsiters and it can be used simultaneously with P+.

I, too, want to place several launch icons in the tray--it seems the natural place for them. I tried to load the PHM Tray Launch without success. Then I tried a trial version of iLauncher but, because I had tried this program before (without messing with the many features), I can't try it again now.

Can somebody help me with either:

ways to add PHM Tray Launch to my x51v

or confirm that iLauncher can place icons in tray but without cluttering (my humble opinion) up my screen with the rest of its features.

Screen prints and a link to detailed instructions on using iLauncher to place icons on the system tray are on my View MyPDA. Notice that unless the iLauncher tab in PocketBreeze is selected, it is not on the screen (other than the system tray icons). Read the Thought on PPC Today Screens, too.

Thanks, AKAJohnDoe--your MyPDA is very helpful, as are the thoughts contained in the links.

A follow up, if I may: can your solution with iLauncher be accomplished without having pocketbreeze on the ppc?
