Sweet.. s'what I wanted to hear! :)

I guess I'll keep my other battery in it's packaging until the time I need to use it? (Got a spare "just in case" - Looks like I won't be needing it for a while!)

Thanks guys for that. (And gals?) :approve:

very true. I have my old cell phone here that has a Li-Ion battery in it. It hasn't been used or charged for months. I turned it on today to find an old number and it's still fully charged. :approve:

Li-Ion batteries are much better than the old NiCad junk. I have heard several things you can do to help maintain them a bit longer. They don't help substantially, but they can help a bit.

1) Try not to run it completely dead. Once you get a low battery notification (20%ish) try to charge it as soon as you can.

2) Avoid short recharges. Try not to take it off for just a couple minutes and put it back on right away. Used the battery up a bit before charging again.

3) If you need to store the battery for more than a month, wear it down to just under halfway, and store it in the refrigerator (NOT the freezer).

These are just some things I have picked up from the forum here...I haven't really personally been able to verify any of them, as it's hard to do without timing battery life over a couple years, but they seem to make sense. Following those guidelines is no where near as important as it was with NiCad batteries, but it should help a bit.
