This is getting very frustrating to me. Seems as though every few days, I lose ability to Explore Axim from within Activesync...it opens my drive C: on PC. So, if I re-install Activesync and choose Repair with V4.2b, it comes back.
Only to disappear later on and open C: again. If this is posted elsewhere, I apologize, I couldn't locate it.
Don't use ActiveSync. I cut it out completely. Buy a USB BT dongle and transfer files that way. Just explore the files on your PPC. Why do it through ActiveSync. The connection is so slow.
You can update weather, RSS feeds, and such via wifi. And just Send Files through BT to install.
I have the same exact problem. A few days ago it happened to me for the first time, but then it went back to normal once. Since then, whenever i click explore in activesync it takes me to my c drive also and i cant access my portable device from an explorer windows. If anyone knows a fix for this it would be great! Thanks! :)
Not sure why you guys access your devices that way. What I do is connect my axim to ActiveSync through either the USB cable or BlueTooth, then go to "My Computer" and then "Mobile Device". Works every time, never had any problems.
Better yet, right click on "Mobile Device" in "My Computer" and make a shortcut to it on your desktop.
Ok, happened to me again last night. And I could not browse to my PPC at all from windows, not even BT...this sucks having to always reinstall Activesync.
My Mobile device doesn't show up in Windows PC machine at all.
