I am sure this has been covered but what the heck. I have a X51 and have tried some software before settling on Pocket Breeze and List Pro and some others.
However.......Even though I have deleted ILaunch, WISBAr, Projecting etc. They still left icons and in the case of Projecting refuse to be deleted.
Probably not a bad idea to hard reset and wipe clean but has anyone experienced the same or similar. What to do?

Later, Happy 4th.
Where have they left icons? Do you mean in the Programs folder?
Hard reset may be a little harsh if all you have left as 'remnants' of those apps is some icons in Programs folder. If those are in some way causing stability / performance issues then that would seem more like a definite reason to think about hard reset. If you do go for a hard reset, hopefully you're cool on backing up any data you want / need.

Cheers ...
Yeh icons are in the programs menu. And Projecting just won't give up. Starting to get memory messages and that is new. and backing up is no problem. Have searched the File Explorer and nothing sticks out there.
Yeah, I would like to know how to get rid of bun icons in the programs folder as well, a hard reset is a bit much for me. Isn't there a program that can get rid of them??
To get rid of dead shortcuts, use File Explorer to go to Windows -
Start Menu- Programs and then manually delete the dead links. (Tap and hold on the name of the app and then select Delete.)
For programs that don't uninstall properly, try reinstalling and then uninstalling again.
For the wiping out / uninstalling when an app doesn't go away completely, some software publishers also provide a 'Cleaner' type app that you can run on your desktop and get it to remove all traces of an app on your PPC. I know Ilium - who make eWallet, NewsBreak, ListPro etc - definitely have one ...
You may also want to consider MemMaid (http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=14279). Its a great utility that can remove dead shortcuts, clean up your registry...etc. You can download a free 2 week trial at the above link (chances are you'll love the program and end up buying it...I did :approve: ). Good luck.

hi, have check the windows\startup folder. you will have to delete the icons. also check windows\appmgr and finally check the directory the program was installed in. using file explorer, tap and hold the icon and a menu will appear, click delete. hope this helps.
