50v stylus falls out

Still on my first stylus coming up on 2 years. It now has zero resistance and falls out without shaking. Is the stylus worn out or is the x50 worn out? I.e. will a new stylus fix this problem? If no, how do I resolve the loose stylus

Very slightly 'bend' the stylus... the bend shouldnt be noticable to the user, but it will hold in the silo better.

Dunno, but if you put a small piece of Scotch tape on the stylus somewhere it might help.

I ran into the same problem with an old Palm Pilot. In my case, it was the stylus that was worn out.

I ran into the exact same situation yesterday. Did you ever get this fixed?

I don't know about you....but I quit using a conventional stylus a while ago.

Since DHL comes to our office everyday, I noticed that they a stylus that is the size of a bic pen. It is so nice to use.

The driver was kind enough to give me some and everyone is so impressed. The dell stylus is small and hard to manage, especially in production environments.

Honestly, it's worth looking into. Next time you receive a ups, fedex, or dhl package - take a look at their stylus. I carry mine like a regular pen in my shirt pocket and will probably never go back to using the factory Dell stylus. It makes typing, games, and navigation much easier, and my hand doesn't have to work so hard to balance the small stylus.

sorry.
