ActiveSync 4.2 and Outlook 2007 Beta2

I am unable to get Outlook 2007 to sync with my Axim X51v.
I can connect the pocket pc on active sync no problem but then it just sits there saying "syncronising" but it doesnt do anything. I have left it there for 35mins and still nothing. It doesnt come up with any errors or anything.

I have tried disabling Zone alarm,uninstalling and reinstalling active sync, making new partnerships and doing it and still nothing.
I havent been able to get it to sync with outlook at all.

Any help?
Oh im also using Windows XP SP2

Did it work before you installed Outlook 2007? (I.e. its a O2007 problem).
Or is this a new try for syncing? (I.e. it might be one of the issues that people have already found and worked around).

make sure the last software you add doesn't interfer it

i had office 2007 beta 1 and it didnt work and then put on beta2 and it doesnt work. I have never been able to get it to sync, it always just sits there. I can explore my pocket pc through active sync and drag and drop files onto it but that is all.

I used to have an ipaq 2410 with active sync 3.8 and office 2003 and it worked without a problem.
Is there any known problems with Outlook 2007 and active sync 4.2?

I have both Activesync 4.2 and office 2007 beta. I can usually get them to sync but sometimes have problems where I end up resetting my x51v and rebooting my PC to resolve.

I had to quit my firewall to fix activesync 4.1. Not just shut it down, but quit everything entirely.

I have a new-to-me X51V and have been beating my head against the wall trying to get it to sync. At work, with the corporate firewall not on my machine, no problem. At home, with the free ZA, there was a problem. I had followed all of the steps to allow the various programs and changed the WM based-device to Trusted under Firewall->Zones.

I saw a different suggestion that WM now adds itself as another network adapter (like an ethernet card). They suggested that you should make sure that TCP/IP was allowed, which it was, but it still wasn't working

BUT, here's the kicker...when I looked a little closer, I saw that the WM adapter was also using the Windows firewall, on top of ZA. I disabled the Windows firewall, just using ZA and BING!...works fine. Just a tip that may solve a headache or two for someone else.
