Generally, it should. If you have a widcomm stack on your pocket pc then it should be compatible. If you have microsoft then the only things (that I'm aware of) that you can do is sync via bluetooth (and browse the web via activesync passthru), share a com port and file transfer (which is iffy at best). With the widcomm stack, I can pretty much do everything the ms stack can do plus network my computers via bluetooth, use any of my computers as a modem, share files and folders via bluetooth, watch movies, listen to mp3s, port sound on my computer to the axim, browse the web even without connecting to activesync. That and a lot more advantages not related to computers.

I do have a widcomm stack installed on my Axim so that's good to know. I was also kind of curious if usb externals that are plugged into the hub would work with the PDA.

Short answer - NOPE !!

Longer answer - USB is a bus to the system it is connected to, not a network.
Each peripheral is attached to the USB host system, they are intentionally not visible
to each other nor to anything else connected via the USB (like the bluetooth).
With the Widcomm stack you can get better services to the host, but
the host system has to provide the pathway to anything else just like the Axim getting
access to the CDROM on the host..
