HELP! Microsoft Activesync for Aximx51v

Dear friends,

I cant use Microsoft Activesync anymore with my Axim x51v! :-((

It seems like I deleted this program unintentionally. What should I do now to have it works again? I badly need to synchronise lots of data from my Axim to desktop tomorrow morning before deadline of my quarterly report comes.

Download and reinstall activesync from Microsoft's website.

Thanks bro. Did you mean i need to reinstall it into my Dell or desktop?
I did reinstall the Microsoft Activesync from the Dell CDRom (reinstall into the desktop) but still no connection made between desktop and my Axim.

Canyou help me more, pls.? I am still an immature Axim player!

you need to be a bit more specific.. what happens when you connect your axim to your pc?

Open Activesync (on your Desktop). Click File --> Connection Settings. Make sure Allow USB Connections is checked.

MS Activesync and X51V

You may have had the same issue as I did. I was unable to use Activesync 4.1 with my X51V. After reading a bunch of threads on this website and others, I removed AS 4.1 from my computer and installed MS Activesync 4.2, the new Beta version. Voila! It then worked fine and I have not had any real problems since. I should point out that you should not try to back up your Axim with the Data Backup utility that is on the Axim. When you try that, it seems to effect Activesync. I use Spb Backup or you may want to try Sprite's Backup utility. Hoping this helps you.

I've been struggling with this for the last few days on two different computers. Turns out it was my DLINK VPN Client software. Once I unstalled, 4.1 and 4.2 started working - no problems. If you're running any VPN client software, uninstall it to verify. If it starts to work, then you'll need to find a workaround. I'm still looking for that.
