Card Export on x51v with A12

Softick Card Export v2.18 works fine in my x51v (ROM A04 - Spanish).

It's true that apear a task named "Card Export Tray Client", and... what???. I think this task is necessary, but with 2.17 we didn't see it.

Switched bar doesn't work fine, but work. I ever use magic button.

Why it necessary if you didn't need it in just one older version 2.17? Improvement? I don’t agree.

I use Magic Button too but always found myself closed the CE II unintentionally. Once it was gone, it needed soft reset to get the icon back. :realmad:

It also had compatibility issue with the "Switched Bar".

All make a feeling that v2.18 was not well debugged before pushed to the market.

just have to wait for another update then....the CE II task thing is annoying

Manulolo, creo que cclive pregunta por qué es necesaria la nueva "tarea visible" cuando no lo era en la anterior versión. No habla de si la propia versión 2.18 es o no necesaria. Parece serlo para la A04 en castellano.

I use Wisbar Advance and the problem of the Card Export Tray Client task can be avoided telling wisbar to ignore it when displaying running tasks, as it does by default with ActiveSync. Magic Button doesn't have an option like this?

A ver, y lo que yo digo es que qué pasa que sea visible? la tarea esta ejecutándose tanto en esta como en la 2.17, salvo que en la 2.17 la hicieron "invisible", pero que mas da eso a cambio de que funcione???. Supongo que lo arreglarán.

Por otra parte, creo que el comienzo y la razón de existir de este post es precisamente por la necesidad de una nueva revisión, puesto que con la nueva ROM inglesa, la A12, he creido entender que no les va con la 2.17 (al igual que a la nuestra, la A04).

Ahora en inglés.... con la iglesia hemos topado...

Ok, all that I say is what's the matter with the visible task?, and I think that the reason of this post is that 2.17 doesn't work with A12 English (and A04 Spanish). Version 2.18 works with A12 EN and A04 SP, but appear a visible task. The task is always running (in 2.17 too) but, now is visible. Perhaps in next version can patch this.

I've patched 2.18 ce2tray.exe file so the Card Export Tray Client task doesn't show as a running task (like in 2.17 version). I've attached it. Use it to replace the original file, which is located in \Windows folder. Make sure to close the running instance of the program (from running programs window) before trying to replace.

I've detected a small collateral effect of the patch: If you want to show the preferences window of the patched CE II, it won't work unless you enter the About Card Export window first. Well, not too serious IMO.

2.19 is out and it looks like the Tray Client has been fixed.

I haven't tried this yet but I was wondering if you've found a way to create a shortcut for this. I use Wisbar Desktop and it blocks the tray where the icon is and they say there's no way to launch CardExport except from the today page. Is there a way to create a shortcut for it?

Not sure of having understood. Let's see if I did: You're running Wisbar desktop and this app hides the system tray, so you cannot click on cardexport icon to show its menu. So you ask for a way to show cardexport options without having access to the system tray icon. Is this correct?
