Good upgrade to A12 but some issues afterwards

After a flawless upgrade from A06 to A12 I have experienced some issues... seem to be related to connectivity:

- every time I soft-reset, the axim wakes up with the "connection icon" not "disconnected" but looking for a connection (so moving) even though wifi and BT are off. It only stops moving when I switch wifi on and off. When I check the connectivity by clicking on the icon, I seem to be in "flight on" mode, as I see the option "turn off flight mode".... is this normal?
- activesync did start by itself... when I do the fake server trick as I had done with A06, when I go back to check (after creating a new fake server), the settings are back to "when items arrive"... and activesync comes back again... anybody had the same?

Anyone can help?

PS: I do think A12 is quicker than A06!

Mine does not do that. If I soft reset while WiFi is on, it starts back up with it off (no green light blinking; flight mode 'on;' and the WLAN utility indicating the adpater is off).

That was the way it worked with A06, as well and as far as I know, I've not changed anything that would affect this feature. It sounds like one of your programs is trying to start WiFi.

maybe something go wrong during the upgrade, it doesn't fully copy everything to your rom. another case you might have some software that monitor the network on.
in A06 it doesn't have this problem but A12 it does, make sure you disable the monitor program before but it to sleep

Thats what I would say. I would do the upgrade again. My Activesync settings stayed the same when I changed them to normal (just to be safe).

And I'm not sure about my wifi settings. [Checked] If I soft-reset, BT and WiFi are both off by default. If my screen is just off (tapping the power button) then the wifi and bt will come back on the way it was when I turned off the screen.

Sounds fishy. Redo the Rom update and see how that works out for ya.

I've experienced this with all ROMs ( A04, 06, & now A12 ) ...

but not everytime though ... only the odd time ... like once in maybe 10 soft resets ..etc ( and to have 10 soft reset for me is spanning maybe over a month time though :D )

as seen that others are also experienced this ... would like to narrow it down to the culprit ! :p

Thanks for all your advice... it seemed to be related to the fact that I had installed a GPRS monitor but had not configured it yet...

As to ActiveSync starting up by itself, it does not seem to be happening anymore... not sure why...
