ROM A12 and True VGA hack

Wondering this VGA hack (link to the file: http://www.rilot.co.uk/VGA/VGA.zip) works with the new ROM update.
Does it slow down the Axim in true VGA mode?

This Hack works but the wireless and volume icon in the top bar is not showing up. Other than that it acts and feel just like normal mode.

U R Right!

How can I get the Volume icon there?
WA2 is one option to get it back. But I hate WA2. It slows down the Axim significantly.
Any other solutions?

Its such a pity that the VGA potential of X51v is not available to the users in a more user friendly manner. I am very new to x51v and have been a PALM user for about 7 years. WM5 is a new frontier for me. But the lack of a straight forward True VGA implimentation is very very frustrating indeed.
