Unknown card in Socket 1

I know this subject has been discussed to some degree, but here's a twist...

I've been running with a 2GB Kingston SD card, and my 51V has no trouble accessing or using it. However, I get the "Unknown card in Socket 1" message every time I power it up. No functional impact as far as I know, just an annoyance.

So here's the interesting part... I removed the SD card, so now there are no cards installed at all (neither SD nor CF), and I still get the "Unknown card in Socket 1" message!

I have upgraded to ROM v. A12, and I still get the message.

Anybody know how to get rid of it? Is there something I can disable, or reset, or something?

That MAYBE (or "socket 0") your WiFi card (built-in) and not your external card.
Changes or software installed for Bluetooth and/or resource conflict (software that replaced/delayed the WiFi driver at bootup) will do that.

Maybe a loose contact inside your axim. Did you try it in diferent environments ? (warm/cold) you cold try to gently push on the back (remove battery) and see if that makes some difference.

I really doubt that it is anything physical, but in any case, would it be a waste of time to call Dell tech support?

8:08:04 AM You Every time I start up my Axim, the following error pops up: "Unrecognized Card - Unknown card in Socket 1 - Enter the name of the device driver...etc. etc." I have no SD or CF cards installed.
