Network Config (work vs. isp) - A Better Way?
There has to be a better way...
I connect to the net with my X51 in the following ways:
Bluetooth Activesync
WEP WiFi (because WPA doesn't work right, even in A12)
GPRS Cell Phone as Modem with proxy (via bluetooth)
Why is it that when I want to check (for example) my email I have to change a whole bunch of settings if I change connections? I have to go to network settings and change everything to work or isp, then I have to make the same change in the email program, then I have to restart all affected programs, then I have to turn around three times and spit, then I have to dance the oogly boogly...
Now I know it's asking a lot to have a utility that automatically picks the best connection and uses it, but why isn't there a utility out there that can handle all application requests for the net through a single management point (like windows ipconfig)?
And I still haven't managed to get to my VPN. Or a windows local area network with any reliability...
