Fair trade?

I have been interested in getting a Cingular 8125 wm5 phone and was thinking if I did that I wouldn't really need my Axim anymore. I was just wondering would an X51V be a fair trade for a Cingular 8125? Who would get the short end of the stick? Both ends of the deal trade off something.

624 mhz to 195 mhz? Ouch!!

Dells usually run cheaper for better specs (624 vs. 195, 256 MB ROM vs. 128 MB ROM, etc), but it all depends on what you need for your uses. You could compare the going prices on ebay, they look about even.

Honestly, it would be a fair trade IMHO.

I own both and I use the 8125. The axim sort of sits here waiting for love, but it just doesn't get any.

The processor speed does make a huge difference (the OMAP actually acts like a dual core so you get the equivalent of a 400Mhz), but in gained functionality on the 8125 it pretty well balances that loss out.

I wouldn't trade my 8125 for a regular PPC ... I never thought I'd say that, but it's true (atleast that's how I feel right now).

On ebay even brand new X51V's are going for alot less than the 8125. I guess the X51V is too plentiful and holds no value.

With getting a new E1505 and having the 2125 smartphone I hardly use the axim anymore, but I can see myself using a converged device. I wish the axim was a phone too.

I was very interested in your comments. I have purchased a 8125 off Fleabay (been a week and hasn't arrived yet, hope I wasn't scammed). My first inclination was to go with the 2125, but there are very few of those being sold on Fleabay and relative to what they would cost through Cingular (with a contract) are expensive. I can't imagine stuffing everthing I have on my X50V into the 8125 with it's very limited storage expandability and I like the smaller size and lighter weight of the 2125. It feels more like a phone, while the 8125 feels a bit like a brick. The 8125 cost very little more than I would have had to pay Cingular (with a contract) and I don't have to have a contract.
