HELP Required: A12 ROM - USB PC switching App, doesn't load
Apparently under the new A12 ROM there is a utility for changing the USB connection mode to a PC.
It is under DESKTOP -> Settings -.Connections - USB PC
When I select this though, I get a white screen with the title USB PC COnnection for half a second then dumped straight back to the desktop screen.
Would someone be able to help me get this working, or isolate the file required and replace from aworking version, (Only if legal of course)
I need this as apperently if I change the connection type my Axim will sync using Missing sync to my Mac a lot faster.
x51v A12 ROM.
Many thanks.

Lumsdoni,
this has worked out-of-the box on my Axim x51v with A04 (german version of A12). Did you install any tweaks or the Widcomm-package 0.50?
I changed the setting while the PDA was uncradled. Afterwards, it would connect via a legacy-connection like any PPC2003-device would do, and show up as a "Windows CE USB-device" instead of a WM5-network device.
Regards,
Detlev

Ah,
I did install the widcomm package.
What I get now is
Cannot disconnect form RNDIS Serial or something like that! Ithen have to soft reset to get the Axim recognized again by the PC or my Mac.

Since the beginning of this week I experienced the same problem. I cannot switch between the two modes. Only when I shut down wisbar I can make any changes but then the error message mentioned in Lumsdoni's Post appears. I don't know how to come back to the previous behavior but to do an HR. Did anybody else find a solution for this?
Best regards,
Carsten

I've got that far thanks - the problem is now, the app just doesn't work.
When you uncheck the box and press ok, you get the same message
"unable to disable rndis".

I did get this to load properly, but only after uninstalling the Widcomm hack.
Once working I re-installed wIdcomm, but this disabled the USB switch again, so it seems you can have one or the other. I will see how fast the USB switch makes syncing with my mac. As this is the key for me.
