sending files over bluetooth

hi all i have been trying to send files from my x50v to my sony ericsson p900 via bluetooth ,i have paired both the x50v and p900 bit cant seem to find any way to beam or send the files.

do i need 3rd party software like Resco Explorer?

or if anyone has the info on a good programme that will help i would be well happy.

i have added a com port and and the p900 obex file transfer but if i click on the file i want to send (its a gp3 but other files do the same) i can only select beam and it waits for a infared connection

When bluetooth is switched on, you can send / receive files from the Axim X50V and your phone using de BlueTooth Manager. It's the middle choice, when you tap the BlueTooth icon at the bottom of the screen. Works for me.

The "Beam file" program also works for bluetooth, but you have to enable bluetooth on your axim and make the P900 discoverable, then it should detect the phone (after a short pause) and let you send the file to it over bluetooth.

ok i managed to send the file,it seemed that when i clicked on obex file transfer that the next screen with the file list didnt come on.

maybe i didnt give it enough time as it looked at the full list of files on the x50v
