WM5 and Exchange ActiveSync (EAS)

I searched the forums, but could not find an answer to my question.

Using EAS, is there a way to delete the synchronized mail from the device without deleting it from the Exchange server? Unfortunately, Outlook Mobile Access (OMA) is not an option right now. My thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide!

OK, I found one workaround, but I'd like to hear from anyone that has a simpler solution.

On the device:

1. Open ActiveSync
2. Go to Menu > Configure Server
3. Hit Next
4. Hit Next
5. Uncheck the E-mail check box. This removes the e-mail from your device, without removing it from the server.

The Pocket Outlook on the device automatically removes the mail from the device, depending on the age of the mail and how you have it set. If you sync the last 2 weeks of mail, then when it gets older than that it is removed from the device but not fro mthe server.

For all current e-mail, delete = delete. If you delete it, then it will be deleted from the server. The PDA and Exchange ActiveSync is NOT a "take a copy of the mail and then process it" like other products - the PDA is a proper client direct to the e-mail server. So delete = delete.
