Question Storing to SD card

Is there any way to sync my data (like the sycnronized My Documents, calendar and e-mails) to my SD card? The point of picking up a 4GB card was to house all my extra stuff that I want to have along and not eat up my flash ROM.

(Note: I did search the site a bit but didn't easily find the answer to this question. If it's already out there for the x51v, please feel free to point me in the right direction.

Thanks,
Gina

To my knowledge, there is no way to move the "My Documents" folder to an SD card and still sync it except using MOBSYNC or something similar for your PC and set it up to sync any folder anywhere on your PPC with any folder on your PC. Do a search for MOBSYNC on this site and i'm sure you'll find a link to download it from

As far as your calendar/tasks, I don't think there is any way to move them from the device ROM to SD/CF.

Indeed, you'd be better off freeing up the built-in flash ROM by installing software to the SD card.

Ok - Thanks. I've been installing all software to the SD card. So, I guess I'm doing the best that I can for now.

Many thanks for answering my questions.

Have a Happy.

I still recommend to install all the software on your storage card (unless directed otherwise from the software vendor). Except the Today Plug-Ins..Install them in memory.

As far as Sync to Storage card. Mobsync is still the only one IMHO. On your SD Card you can create \My Documents folder. On your PC, just create another folder, e.g. \C\My Documents\My SD Documents and have MobSync sync both.

Don't forget the new hack to store all your mail + its attachments on your SD. Read HERE!

I have all of my applications installed on my X51V ROM memory. All of my loarge files are stored on my 8gb microdrive and on my 512mb SD card I store a back up of my 'My Documents' folder on my X51V. I also carry additional PC related files on my microdrive for when I work on others systems.

Mobsync Newbie help

Many recommend mobsync. I'm using an 51v with WM5. Does mobsync automatically convert MS Office files to PPC format? What about adobe files - which get "tagged" during manual copy/paste?
