For one thing, I find it is a combination of many useful features put together on the today's screen. Correct me if I am wrong, I don't find download or connection indicator in other similarly offered product such as SBSH or SPB. Omegaone's battery Pro and Journal Bar are space saving on Today's Screen. Nevertheless, it would be more useful if it hadn't conflicted with other programs. For me, the BPP has been buggy for a long time. I had to do hard reset many times in order to get work properly. That is why I haven't tried the new one yet. Besides, the $10 upgrade charge is a killer by itself.

Has any one tried this yet?
I tried BPP 2.1.3 which was supposed to work on WM5 (51v) and it caused me to hard-reset tons of times. When I was about to return it, I found 3.0 and it worked fine, with one exception: the Search Bar is nowhere to be found. False advertising?

You just need to activate it. Go to Settings > Today > Items and check the Search Bar.

Tabs

Has anyone else found that they can't add new tabs to the program bar in v3. On the "Tabs" page in settings, it has the "apps" tab listed but the buttons to "Add tab...", "Edit Tab.." etc are grayed out. I'm only using the trial version at this stage so i'm not sure if its a disabled feature or if there's some problem . It would seem silly to disable one of the main selling points in an upgrade trial. I was using v2.1.1 without any real problems and so far the upgrade looks pretty good apart from this annoying problem. I've got an x51v, and i've also got pocket informant, Spb diary and wisbar advance running

The tabs problem i was having was solved after i did the A12 upgrade:) , but i still can't find the search bar like Termin8r (or the calendar bar for that matter!) . When i go to Settings > Today > Items as archermoo suggested neither of them are listed there, and they aren't listed on the "Tabs" screen either as mentioned in the included Help file. I probably wouldn't use either of them anyway so it's not a huge issue for me. Otherwise it seems to be working fine so far, even the power buttons which didn't really work with 2.1.1. I think i'll wait a bit longer before forking out $10 for the upgrade though, and try some of the alternatives as well

Anyone have any idea what dll's this installs? I tried it out and it trashed my x51v. I can probably delete one file per soft reset through activesync before it locks up completely so I figure if I delete all its dll's I can probably save myself a hard reset. It's been a while since I backed up (and yes I know how stupid it was to try this without a recent backup) so I would really like to try to recover from this.

Yeah, I guess SleepDoc and I have the same issue. For my part, I tried OmegaOne support, and they never said anything beyond what's in help. It's supposed to be available as a separate tab or a Today item, but it is not listed in either location!

Makes me wonder if the the v3 codes have different generations, some of which don't allow the search bar :(. Either that or it's another of the program's many bugs!

brrr, I just uninstalled the trial version. My x50v went insane with that software running. It would not shut down for some reason and it woke me up in the middle of the night with battery low alarm. Also, it run way slower with Battery Pack Pro. I had the newest version from pocketgear.

I wonder if installing this sftware to the main memory would make any difference, I had it on SD

They recomend that all of their software be installed in main memory. I tried their software in diffrent locations (SD, CF, BIS) and had horrible results. Thats one of the reasons why I gave up using there stuff - took too much main memory.

I see, well, i am only learning how to use Axim, I just switched from Zire 71. I hoped that having 8-10 times more memory in Axim will be plenty, well, it is not at all!

BTW - I am sure you guys know it, for me it wa s agreat discovery, when I found that my IE puts all his cache in main memory. I moved it to SD and now have over 10 more MB free ram.
