Battery Pack Pro V3 is out today.

Omega One released Battery Pack Pro V3 yesterday.

http://www.omegaone.com/batterypack/pro/bppversion.html

v3.0.0 (24th July 2006)
Program Bar
New tab UI design. Allows you to organize icons quickly & easily.
Easy to add new icons - drag & drop them or add them via the File Explorer.
Program Bar adjusts it's height depending upon the tab to save screen space.
Includes versions of "Owner Info" and "Tasks" plug-ins which can be added as tabs, again to save screen space.
Program Bar can host the Battery Bar, Calendar Bar, Search Bar or Journal Bar.

Battery Bar
New slimmer UI design.

Calendar Bar
New feature for this release. See next 50 appointments on the today screen, or check the calendar. Can be displayed in the Program Bar to save space.

Search Bar
New feature for this release. Search the web using Google or another browser, open a URL, do a address, telephone number or business lookup, or get driving directions.

Power Start
New feature for this release. Tap & hold the start button to show a list of large icons from the Program Bar. Use it to create an alternate Start list, and be able to launch apps without reaching for the stylus.

Power Bars
Battery Power Bar now switches to show memory & storage card information. Battery flashes when it's getting low.
Time Power Bar is a new feature for this release. Shows time, date, or time until the next appointment. When an appointment is getting close it automatically switches to show how many minutes until it starts.

Power Task
Now closes programs after several minutes of activity, to save memory.

Hope it works with Axim x50v/51v better for this version. I didn't try it yet though. If someone tried, please share with us your experience.

I fell off the Battery Pack bandwagon some time ago. The support was terrible. It made my devices unstable. Just wasn't worth the hassle. I don't think I'll give it a try.

Ditto. I liked it originally, but it just wasn't stable enough. The latest version was terrible.

I tried it once on a free download. Frankly, I found other programs that were better, more stable and cheaper. I would not recommend this program.

Is the upgrade free to existing battery pack pro users? In other words can I upgrade from v2.1.1 to v3 for free?

Same here, I have a previous version and didn't upgrade as it was not working well with WM5.

I have Battery Pack Pro installed, but only for Program Bar. I haven't found another program launcher that I like better. I don't use the Battery Bar plug-in at all.

I said that wrong - I am bummed, but I guess they did add more functionality.

Has any one tried this yet?

The question is now what does it offer that my other installed programs don't have?
