Oooo, a command shell.
Grammar-school police on the beat!
oops Sorry, in general, I don't have the time to proof-read my articles before sending them.

Think i read over it, but that's not thrue either, if you call dell they can send it to you, without the clearvue suite it's 29€ + shipping and if you have an account manager you can get it probably for < 20€ incl. shipping. (I ordered 5 pieces fo only 70€ excl. tax)
Well, they, then, should make this absolutely clear on their online catalog because most customers don't call Dell when there's an much easier-to-use and, knowing the "knowledge" of the Dell Customer Service people, much more dependable online catalog. In their online catalog, it's clearly stated that the cable is NOT sold to non-US customers.
BTW, this is why I've linked in the non-American Dell Accessories pages - anyone can check that the VGA cable is _not_ listed in any of them. Not even in the Canadian or Mexican pages.
That is, this should be ASAP cleared up by Dell. If they do sell the cable to overseas countries, they should also update their online catalog accordingly.
(BTW, Darius Wey's excellent PC-Mobile review (see link in the article) is also complaining about the cable not being sold to non-US customers. Dell's not making clear they sell anything anywhere does cause problems, as can be seen.)

Well, you won't break a thin cable either if you don't _try_ to break it on purpose. I've been using PC-Mobile's thin cables for quite some time and have never had any problems with them.

Also that it's short is more an advantage, it's still small and portable and since mointors/beamers have there own cable i don't see why it should be longer (after all, the vga plug on your pc is also not extended with a cable).
IMHO, the length of the PC-Mobile cable, which is slightly longer than that of the Dell cable, is the best. Of course, it's all about personal preferences and opinions - I still prefer a solution that doesn't put much strain on my Pocket PC's socket.
Thanks; added Malaysia to the list of known countries it's sold at; also edited the text to tell people to explicitly call the local Dell office and not to believe what the official, local Dell product catalog contains.

In The BeNeLux (Netherlands, Begium and Luxemburg) it's an option when your ordering your axim. On the supply's page they stated that you can call the dell order desk for explicit wishes.
But, I have to agree, the did a good job hiding it on their site..
In Singapore, you can bundle it with the new purchase of an Axim for Sing$18.50 (approx: US$11).
It used to be available separately for the same price but they had recently taken it out.
The LCD I have has a composite video input, so I guess I would need a VGA to Coposite video adapter - is that something they actually make?
There are quite a few of external VGA -> Composite converters - at a pretty high price point. Also, they aren't the best in the ability to position / the size of the resulting picture either. I've played a lot with mine (LifeView external converter, payed a fortunate for it 6 years ago) but never really got good results because of the size / position problems.
I am leaning toward purchasing the PC-Mobile presentation cable especially because it has the standard DC power input. But then I saw a post suggesting AXIMPDA.COM. Does anyone have experience with this outfit to compare them to PC-Mobile? The AXIMPDA cable is tempting since it's only $17 and has a USB input besides the DC power in.
I purchased a VGA-Power-Sync cable made by aximsite member ChrisMax more than a year ago. Works perfectly. I used it as my primary charging/sync method for a while when my cradle broke. Don't know if they are still selling, but check this thread out.
The AXIMPDA one looks well built and "cleaner" with the embedded mini-usb connector. The one by ChrisMax has the DC in and Mini-USB on each side of the cable on the Axim connector side. Looks at the pictures at ChrisMax's ebay store.
I also had chrismax's cable which is perfect. I also have the boxwave version which is just as good except that it has a vga male out. I also bought the vga->composite converter from chrismax and it works marvelously. Only cost me $45 shipped.
