Do i need Fake Server Trick?
I read somewhere that the new ROM version A12 does not need to use the Fake Server Trick, is that true?

I have A12 & did FST. It solved AS issues for me. Others say its not necessary. You have nothing to lose by doing it.

I just got my x51v yesterday, and yes, you should still do the server trick. I did it and there is a difference.

You don't need FST for the A12 ROM. I doesn't drain the battery at all. Other who's been having the draining issue is due to some other software. There is a big thread about it.
Even you do the FST, after 1st sync, you'll see the setting will be revert it to the default again.

I did the FST after upgrading to A12 and what silvscorp said is true. The first time I synced mine, it reverted back. HOWEVER, I re-did the FST and left the exchange server in AS but removed the check marks from contacts, calendar, etc. for that server so it does not attempt to sync anything with with something that does not exist. My settings have remained since.

Yes, if you leave the exchange server in then the setting will remain. However, based on my test, the FST doesn't really do much for me. I tried many resets with the PDA and leave it over night and found 0% battery drain.

Over 6hrs (or 6.5hrs) with backlight turned off.
With WiFi on and using it all day that's probably around 4hrs.
