Hard button controlling pre-programmed settings (is it possible?)

Alright guys (and girls :) ) this is probably impossible to do, but if anyone knows how to do it they'll be here...guarunteed.

I have the x51v and I use the Garmin GPS10 (bluetooth) GPS unit. Each time I use my GPS, I have to go into the settings, and set it so that my PDA does NOT turn off after 3 minutes of inactivity, set the back light up a few notches so that the screen is readable from a bit further back, and set it so that the backlight does NOT turn off after 1 minute of inactivity. Then when I'm done GPSing, I have to change all of the settings back so that I dont kill my batteries if I turn it on for a second and forget to turn it back off. This is really starting to become a pain.

Does anyone know if there is any way to set up my ax so that every time I run Garmin Que (the GPS program), all of those settings are automatically set? and then unset when I'm not using the program? Or, an alternate, maybe a button that I could click, or set up to a hard button that allows me to set all of those settings on and off with a single click?

It doesnt sound feasable to me, but then again, there are a lot of things that you guys have come up with that I never thought were feasable. So, have at it. Let me know what you come up with.

That sounds like something you might could do with a script routine.. something like MortScript would be a place to start... here:

I'm a pretty decent programmer/script writer.. but I don't have any experience w/ MortScript. So I can't actually provide the scripts for you. However, with a little patience and some trial and error, you should be able to puzzle it out.

ButtonMax supposedly has a macro feature where it will record a series of actions. Haven't tried it though - heard it's not WM5 compatible yet, but maybe soon.
