X51v/Rom A12 not turning off CF power in standby

Ok, this is annoying the heck out of me. I have a CF GPS device (haicom 303 yadda yadda).

Prior to A12, when I put my pda into standby the power to the CF would be removed and the gps turned off. Now with A12 , I go into standby and the power is not turned off so the GPS drains my battery flat in no time at all.

I wonder if this is why people ar ehaving so much trouble with power drain - peripherals are not being turned off properly with A12.

I'm considering going back to A06 now...

Not so sure you can go back to A06 after doing an upgrade to A12, at least thats what has been reported here by some.

another blame on A12 quit blamin all the problems on A12 maybe its ur gps
