Auto dimming

Do you use spb backup? I am suspecting it somehow related to spb backup.

One observation is, I selected "Automatically reset after backup" in the scheduled backup and every reset performed after my daily backup can restore the dimming config but not for other manual soft resets and full power off.

no, i use sprite but when I get back home I will try your scenario. I left my charge cord at home so once the pda dies I will be done. but at least it is good to know that my data will still be there when I do get it back up.

Based on your observation and also that I had the same result when doing a backup with sprite, when it happend again i tried a software soft reset and it worked! Not sure what would be different between a hardware and software soft reset but the obviously is. I use TodayWarrior which has a software reset function on it. Can anyone else who is having these problems try this and let us know?
