With Nero you use Nero Recode (I'm also using V7). If you go to Windows Start Menu -> Nero 7 Premium -> Photo and Video -> Nero Recode, that starts up recode. There are other ways through the nero wizards etc as well, but that'll get you there. After that it's pretty straightforward, select your vid files (mine are all VOBs ripped from DVDs), so tend to use Recode DVDs and Videos option.... them select "import files", select your files choose the size you want, click next and Nero does its thing.

There are many other options such as doing 2 passes, setting the output file resolutions etc....

Please ask if you need more.

I have a qvga x5 that I still use for videos and it still is very good quality but eventually I will go vga when my x5 dies or if it ever dies lol.
