Worried Is there a ghost in my Axim

Last week i just had my x50v replaced by dell. I just realized if i left tcpmp running with music and turn off my pda, it would mysteriously restart playing the music again in about 5mins for about 10 seconds or so then mysteriously just stop. Then about 5 mins later it would repeat. The screen doesn't turn on and it does this with both the lock switch on or off I never notice this happen on my old unit. Does anyone have a clue???

Maybe the player is in wake-up mode or something.. have you tried if it does the same stuff with other software?

Try killing the ghost by hard reseting :)

sounds like activesync is waking up and trying to sync and since the player was playing it just keeps playing. see if AS is running when it wakes up.

My x50v is running windows 2003 Rom A05 and hardware A08. I tried leaving windows media player on also and it does the same thing. It turns on approximately every mins and the music just keeps play for 15 seconds then stops. During this time, the screen stays off and the only button the pda will respond to is the power button. I closed all other running program using Vbar I also have a feeling that it is activesync that is giving me this problem but i wouldn't know how to accurately trouble shoot that.
