Yes im going to wait to receive the usb cable because I just bought the unit itself, and then perform the rom update, Im also thinking on buying some screen protectors and maybe a bluetooth keyboard......:closedeye

I have a BT mouse and KB. I often have the ax and the mouse set up next to my desktop and mouse. a kinda rube goldberg dual monitor going on. it works great.

Should I upgrade?

I know I have already "voted" once, but I would definitely upgrade.

before you upgrade it is ABSOLUTELY IMPORTANT that you follow the advice here on the site. It goes something like this:
1.hard reset your pda
2. delete it from the desktop ActiveSync
3.put it in the cradle and keep it there.
4.when it tries to connect, connect as Guest
5. follow the on-screen prompts carefully and do not close the upgrade software
6. the first hard reset will not look right but that is ok. when it is done you will have still showing your old today screen and old version. don't worry about this one.
7. again let it log in as Guest and you should be able to hit the 'continue' button on the desktop upgrade software. the second hard reset is the one that will look like a real hard reset and your upgrade should be good.

Take some time to search on upgrade problems on this site before you delve into this and you should be ok.

I'd say upgrade, considering current ROM Version is A12. Go to Dell, download and follow BigDave's instructions.
But what do I know? I've just got an X50.

Doe the upgrade.. if anything fials you'll be within your 21 day waranty wich includes exchange with a brand new one (not a refurbished) one.
b.t.w. refurbished doesn't meen it's not ok, could be even better cause it's almost hand made ;)
