Transferring Tasks/Calendar Entries Between PDA's

I am waiting on my new x51v, which is an upgrade from an Ipaq 3720. I have loads of tasks and calendar entries on my old PDA and I want to know if there is a good way to transfer the tasks to my new toy.

I suspect that one way to do the transfer is to sync tasks and calendar items with outlook and them "import" them in some way to the x51v?

Is there a way to tranfer without having to sync with outlook? Are there files on my old PDA that I can copy and paste to my new machine?

Any help would be appreciated.

There are additional application that perform this process also. They have been mentioned on this site but I used the sync process and all went fine. I had over 3000 entries that I transfered to my X51V. It took about 10 minutes for me as I remember. Using the sync process (which was made just for this type of data transfer) for me worked great.
