Active Sync Unresolved Item

When I sync my Axim X50v, I get an unresolved item from my calendar. It says "The following recurring event cannot be written to Microsoft Outlook due to error 80180F04. The item will be skipped".

Then it lists the anniversary item to be skipped.

And it will not resolve.

I have looked for the recurring event on Outlook AND on the Axim. The event is not either one. Heck, there is not even the contact anymore.

How do I get it to resolve?

I had this problem with the exact same error code. The only way I was able to get it resolved was to delete the partnership with my Axim and re-setup the partnership.

Remove Axim from cradle

On ActiveSync on your PC choose File->Delete Mobile Device.

I would also change Pocket PC name i.e. on your Axim choose:
Settings->System->About->Device ID

Put Axim on cradle and sync

I have heard from Microsoft rep that Outlook delivered with Axim CD is flawed , maybe that is reason such errors show up once in a while.
On my PC with Outlook 2002 from DELL I cannot add Microsoft Events Webcasts to Outlook calendar but on other PC with full Office 2003 Pro it works.
