CONCLUSIONS
Thanks everyone for taking the time to give me helpful comments. In return, I want to describe what I have found after applying the solutions suggested by some of you.
I concluded that the aximsitewirelesspowerv1.cab (hereafter "aximwirelesspower") either is incompatible to my x51v (ROM A06) or has a bug that prevents it from working properly as described by mikelspikel. After several unsuccessful attempts despite following the suggestions from mikelspikel and others, I suspected that some other software in my device might be in conflict with aximwirelesspower. I performed a hard-reset to wipe my device clean. Then, I installed the aximsitewirelesspowerv1.cab that was previously stored in a SD card. The app was installed successfully. Pressing the wireless power HARD button, I witnessed, for the first time, that the app was working as described by mikelspikel and others. The original "Press the wireless button again within 5 seconds..." screen was replaced by a screen that showed a wifi icon and a bluetooth icon. I could turn the wireless functions on and off by tapping the icons. Everything seemed working all right. But then I was curious to find out from "Settings->Buttons" whether the original "wireless power" item has been replaced or added by this new "wireless power." On the list I saw a "WirelessPower Config" item, and I also saw one "Wireless Power" item. Then when I close this "Settings-Buttons" screen, everything went back to the old days. I could only see the original screen "Press the wireless button again within 5 seconds..." when pressing the wireless power button. Since there was no other programs had been installed after the hard reset, I can only conclude this Aximwirelesspower app has a bug or it is not compatible with my x51v (A06).
I also attempted a proposed solution by removing BTTrak.exe from \Windows\StartUp ... (I couldn't find the BTTrayCE.lnk in the folder) and performed a hard reset. This solution caused the BT icon on the Today's screen disappear, and it does not prevent the BT from being turning on when pressing the wireless power hard button.
Finally, I tried the AE Buttonplus. It is the only button mapping program that I know that has SEPARATE parameters to turn WiFi on/off and to turn BT on/off. Although it is premature to conclude that this program can coexist peacefully with the many other 3rd party programs installed on my x51v, it now holds the highest potential to satisfy my need.
I know many of you may wonder why I need a one-touch mechanism to turn on/off wifi. Well, I am an absent-minded person, several times a day I launch a browser or a RSS reader or Outlook, but then find out that I didn't turn on WiFi. If I then press the wireless power button. there is a 30-50% chance that BT will be turned on instead of Wifi. Then I have to call up the Today screen, tap the wifi icon, then tap the "Turn on" icon, in addition to the steps for turning off BT. I know many people consider these extra steps no big deal, but I am willing to pay a few bucks to eliminate this annoyance.
Finally, I have found members of Aximsite very knowledge and very willing to help. Thanks again.
