You should sell those on a site, and make a non-vga version too, b/c it looks great and i dont have vga.

USB works only if you have 5v or 12v right?

  • €45 for moulded car holder + shipping costs (http://www.pdamods.com/proddetail.as...A11CRXDLX50MNT)
  • About €12 of USB HUB.
  • €0.00 car charger components and X50/X51 PDA connector. It cames with car holder.
  • Less than €10 for RS232 and audio preamplifier components and the rest of material I bought (cables, connectors, etc).
  • I used some parts I already have and from broken computers I have at home and it is difficult to calculate, lets say €10.
  • Bottom part of the circuit box cames from the enclosure of an small speaker (see pictures). I do not believe it cost more than €5.

€82.00 + major part of my vacations.
But I enjoyed a lot.

Wow. That is awsome. I can't tell from the pictures. What is the size and weight of it? Is it portable? I would love to have something like that. You need to look into mass producing those.

VGA out represents a very small part of work and taken room inside because it is just a pass through wires.

USB hub always works.
If 5v/12v present, then it does not take power from USB HOST.
I think it is a feature of all self-powered USB HUBs.
It has inside an Ovislink H4-USB2

I do not have a scale near to me but it weights more than my 100gr cell phone and is lighter than X51V, lets say 150gr.
About size you better see the lateral picture at the begining of the thread.

Probably the pictures with the device on my hand will help to see...
