Wow. That is much smaller than I expected. I would love to see you produce and market these. This could really be a useful item.

In fact, the more importamt part of the job has been fitting all components in so small room, while keeping clearance enough for intenal wiring.
Separations of back connectors has been taken inconsideration standar measures of connectos that are to be plugged, so that it is possible to full connect all of them at a time.

Nice to see there is still some room left inside for adding more circuitry (see picture), also some small connector could be added at the back right above USB connectors.

(EDIT 11.04.06) Added same pic web hosted with better resolution:

I am afraid it is no going to like to much posting in spanish, let me answer in english and if you want I can send a private mail in spanish.

You are right, prime objetive is carputer application but also having all PDA capabilities in one box while keeping the "handheld" hability. That is the reason it also includes USB client and 5v.IN, they are never to be used at car.

Everyting has been tested with the exception of serial port because I have my OBD2 car diagnostic adaptor borrowed. I will test serial por at home today. But it must be understood that each individual circuit was tested individually, for example serial circuit is exactly the same I talk about at my thread: More about connectivity: Experiencing serial port

It not only works all together but also it seems to fix all my problems of car noise. I do not know if it is just a feature of audio preamp or it also because power supply is very close to PDA with no wire in between that can be interferenced. The important thing is car noise disapear.

wow.. thats pretty cool. I want one.

What's with the Spanish and innovating things for the Axim's... First the Widcomm stack on the x51 and now this.. I loved Spain when I was there too.

Oh and also.. I thought the Ratoc USB card only allowed 1 device at a time, will the 4 ports work?

It works for me with [mouse or touchscreen] + keyboard + [HD or USB memory].
I have never used with more than three devices but sure it works.

F***ing Crazy!!! Dude, are you stupid? I see you making all this awesome crap for the axim that everyone is begging you for, but I dont see you mass marketing it. You could be rich if you would just get ahold of one of these companies and get them to produce your ideas for you.

About your usb host card...... the long wire sticking out.... is there any way you could make some sort of ribbon cable that would do the same thing but not stick out like that? Would make it a little more pocketable. Also.... ever think of some sort of clear shield that flips up on the top (screen protector) so that you dont need a case for it?

You build it for app 85euros... wha'ts that in USD? anyone know?

I agree though, awesome little device, beats the hell out of carrying a case with all the extra wires for each output (I wonder if you could also build a secondary battery into it...)
