Dim if device is idle - stuck

I have an X51v on rom A12.

I've been trying to set the "Dim if device is idle for more than x seconds" option to 30 seconds. Unfortunately, every time I suspend, it changes itself back to 15 seconds. I've tried disabling the option/suspending/re-enabling the option, but it still kicks itself back to 15 seconds.

It never used to do this. The only thing that i've done recently that might have warranted this is restoring from an SPB Backup. However, i've tried different backups i've had around, and the same problem still occurs.
I don't want to have to hard reset, but it does work like it should after a hard reset.

Anybody else have this problem/know of a way to fix it?

I've seen similar posts with people having the exact same problem when using 30 seconds. Have you tried setting it to dim after 60 seconds (or any amount of time other than 30 seconds)? I have an Axim X51 A12 set to dim at 60 seconds and it works just fine.

Yup, I have. Same result - kicks itself back to 15 sec dimming time.

Maybe the new rom stores the setting in an other place in the registry ?

I guess a hard reset may not fix the problem, as it looks more like the problem of the setting of a particular apps (I suspect spb backup, of which several of guys having the same problem, including me, use it).

Same problem here with Sprite Backup after a restore. Haven't tried a Hard Reset, but I will note I didn't have the problem (at least that I noticed) before the restore.
